Groton Community Health Care Center, welcomes Senator James Seward Unveiling of the NEW Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) and upgrade to the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure
Groton, NY: April 29, Groton Community Health Care Center invited Senator James Seward for the unveiling of the NEW Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) and the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure upgrade necessary to support the new system.
Highlighting the new advancement, Nasar Khan President & CEO Groton Community Health Care Center said that this is a huge milestone in the history of our organization… we have completed a major IT infrastructure upgrade which includes a new network to support our NEW EMR system… our entire facility is now WIFI enabled to support the new touch screen kiosks for our CNAs and the notebooks on the med carts for our nurses. He thanked Care Compass Network for their unwavering support for the EMR Initiative. He also recognized all the staff at Groton Community Health Care Center for their hard work and ability to adapt and embrace the new system.
Senator James Seward stated that he fully supports Groton Community Health Care Center, a not-for-profit organization serving our community since 1980s. He congratulated everyone on this special occasion. He also toured the facility and met with the residents, staff and guests. A brief ribbon cutting and unveiling ceremony for the new EMR system was also held.
