Groton Community Health Care Center, welcomes Senator James Seward and Assemblywomen Barbara Lifton Unveiling of the TeleHealth and TelePsych Services
Groton, NY: November 14, Groton Community Healthcare Center invited Senator James Seward and Assemblywomen Barbara Lifton for the unveiling of the TeleHealth and TelePsych services.
Highlighting the new advancement, Nasar Khan President & CEO Groton Community Healthcare Center said that this is a huge milestone in the history of our organization… we have invested in two state-of-the-art TeleHealth robots equipped with an otoscope, dermascope and Bluetooth enabled stethoscopes… our Telehealth setup can be used for both TeleHealth consults and TelePsych services as there is a shortage of psych providers in our area. He thanked Care Compass Network for their unwavering support for the TeleHealth Initiative. He also recognized all the staff at Groton Community Health Care Center for all their hard work and ability to adapt and embrace the new technology that will enable Groton Health to manage resident care better, more efficiently thus reducing hospital admissions and re-admissions.
Senator James Seward was unable to attend due to his health but he sent a representative to congratulate everyone on this special occasion. Assemblywomen Barbara Lifton said that she fully supports Groton Community Health Care Center, a not-for-profit organization serving our community since 1980s. She also congratulated everyone on reaching this milesstone. She also toured the facility and met with the residents, staff and guests. A ribbon cutting and unveiling ceremony of TeleHealth and TelePsych Services was also held.
